Drumming for schools

We bring our drums to children and the youth at schools and kindergartens. Kids find playing African drums and watching our drum shows attractive and entertaining. Drums are intuitive and children are able to learn the first rhythm within a couple of minutes. We are veteran teachers, lecturers and entertainers and know how to make kids play drums. We offer:

Drum circle at your school / in your class:

• we give the children drums and create a drum orchestra
• big drums, small drums, shakers, small percussion - something for everybody
• we play music games that boost curiosity and creativity
• we teach them how to play in a group and how to rhythmically support others
• we try playing solos and improvise on drums (everybody can do it)
• we do body percussion
• we are able to teach them a rhythm/song in a short time and make them experience the feeling of playing as a band (orchestra)

Concert for your school / kindergarten:

• a drum show with plenty of exotic drums of Africa and the Caribbean, including a mask dance
• great addition to any event of your school
• possible also as educational concert, i.e. educational programme about African drums and other instruments of Africa, presentation of basic techniques, drum show, cultural context
